All companies currently use IT Assets such as computers and mobile phones to do their daily business. Still, eventually, these items reach their end of life, and company decision-makers must consider the best way to dispose of these assets. There are usually two very important concerns. The first is the security of the data on those assets. The second is how to dispose of items while causing minimal environmental harm. The stakes are high. Federal and state regulations as well as good business practices must be considered.

- Setting and frequently reviewing quality, environmental, health, and safety objectives.
- Processing used and end-of-life electronic equipment based on a reuse, refurbishment, recovery, and disposal hierarchy, including on-site and downstream materials management throughout the recycling chain.
- Managing Focus Materials throughout the recycling chain to final disposition with due diligence to protect our environment.
- Continuous efficiency improvement is achieved through consistently monitoring our objectives and targets and ongoing and rigorous evaluations of our management systems.
- Securis will follow best practices from R2v3, including working to stay compliant with BAN Basel Action Network (BAN).
- Securis strives to recycle everything we receive.
- All downstream processors that receive shredded material from Securis are required to complete an Agreement for Responsible Disposal of Sensitive Materials.
- Securis will serve the community through outreach, charitable acts, and selfless service.
- At this time, all magnetic media is incinerated using the cleanest methods available. Smelting documentation can be provided upon request.
- All metal-based material is sent to a domestic-based refinery, where it’s refined for different types of metals.
