Alzheimer’s Association Receives In-Kind Gift of Computer Equipment From Securis

Fairfax, Virginia – The Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Area Chapter, the metropolitan Washington region’s premier source for Alzheimer’s disease information and support, has received an in-kind donation of six new Dell computers valued at $4,000 from Securis.

Each new Dell computer consists of an Intel® Celeron® D processor 325, keyboard, 15” flat panel monitor, and Windows XP Home Edition. The new equipment will allow the Chapter to expand it technology capabilities to improve and increase its programs and services for individuals and families in Northern Virginia, Suburban and Southern Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Jeremy Farber, Chief Executive Officer of Securis, personally arranged for the contribution. “My grandmother has Alzheimer’s. I’ve witnessed the tremendous struggle – both physical and emotional – that my mother and aunt face in caring for her. I’m privileged to be able to bring my professional expertise and personal experience together to provide the Association the assistance it needs to help others who have family members with Alzheimer’s. I hope that other business professionals will join in the fight against this terrible disease by lending their support to the Association.”

Said Tony Sudler, President & CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Area Chapter: “Contributions of this manner provide a dual impact, 1) they increase the association efficiency, allowing staff to be more productive and 2) they reduce our equipment budget, allowing for more dollars to go toward programs and services. I applaud Securis’s willingness to support our fight against Alzheimer’s disease.”
