Jeremy Farber, President
After graduating from the esteemed Military College of South Carolina (The Citadel) in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Jeremy began acquiring and selling previously owned computers on eBay. He realized there was no environmentally friendly way to dispose of the unsalvageable devices he had acquired and recognized a business opportunity to offer practical, secure, and complete recycling of such products. In 2003, he established Securis in Albany, NY. Successful growth led to an expansion into the Washington, D.C. area market in 2005, and demand for Securis’s signature green solutions continues to grow. In 2007, Jeremy was appointed to the Virginia Joint Commission on Technology and Science eCycling Advisory Committee, chaired by Delegate Joe T. May and Senator Mamie Locke. In May 2008, Jeremy was chosen as one of Washington, D.C.’s Bisnow Top 35 Entrepreneurs Under 35. During his spare time, Jeremy enjoys serving his community by participating in the Junior Achievement program and coaching local high school basketball.
