Our Mobile IT Asset Disposition Services Come to You!
Whether around the corner or in another state, our clients find it most convenient for Securis mobile services to come to them to complete on-site data destruction and pick-up services for their IT Asset disposition projects. Our mobile truck provides quiet, speedy, and secure data wiping, device shredding, and degaussing services wherever you are, allowing us to serve clients nationally.
Performing on-site electronic media shredding at the client’s location enables their personnel to witness the process, thus maintaining the highest level of security and eliminating any potential chain of custody issues. Our specialized mobile truck is outfitted with machines that degauss, shred hard drives, and disintegrate even the smallest data-containing drives.

Mobile Truck Services:
At Securis, we follow NIST 800-88 guidelines that help us determine whether data destruction should occur at the clear, purge, or destroy level. For purging, we wipe drives to NIST 800-88 and DOD standards. Wiping is the best choice for sustainable recycling, as drives can be re-used once they have been sanitized.
Degaussing is the process of erasing data by eliminating an unwanted magnetic field (information) stored on tape and disk media. Securis can provide degaussing services for hard drives, backup LTO, and DLT tape. We also offer complete, certified data destruction of high-coercivity tapes such as SDLT, 3480, and AIT. Our hard drive and tape degaussing service options are fully compliant with all National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication Series 800-88 and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) 32 CRF Part 117 (which has replaced DoD 5220.22-M).
Securis’ industrial shredding services are the foundation of our secure and certified data destruction processes. Traditional Shredding services break IT assets into small pieces to prepare for responsible downstream recycling.
As SSDs proliferate and data devices shrink, enterprises and agencies need more than a traditional shredder to ensure complete security. We use an NSA-approved shredder to disintegrate data-containing devices to a particle size of 2mm or smaller, completely eliminating the risk of any data being accessed, read, or replicated. That means there’s no risk to your company of this data falling into the wrong hands and ensures complete destruction of whatever device or drive is shredded.
In this video, John (Sal) Salvetting invites you to see the inside of one of our mobile trucks and explains how we can perform NIST 800-88 compliant data destruction right at your facility.
Storm Cases
If you do not have enough equipment to warrant a site visit or if you need a secure place to keep equipment until your service window arrives, Securis has a variety of Pelican Storm Cases that our clients can use to store or securely send equipment to Securis. These cases are military tough and designed to be safe and secure in the harshest conditions. Classified information can be transported via storm cases from USPS or courier as long as protocols are followed. In this video, our Director of Operations, Sal Salvetti, explains how Securis clients use Pelican storm cases.

Onsite Service Process:
Secure On-Site services begin at the client location where Securis ‘ professionally trained and certified staff members:
- Tag and inventory all electronics slated for destruction or recycling to establish a chain of custody.
- Perform Degaussing, Shredding, and Disintegration Services onsite using our mobile truck equipment.
- Record all serial numbers of processed and destroyed items for audit and accountability purposes.
- Load all materials to be securely transported in a Securis GPS-traceable truck
Once the electronics are brought to one of Securis’ processing facilities:
- A client-approved recycling plan is executed.
- A complete inventory list is provided to the client.
- A Certificate of Destruction, a nationally recognized legal document of performance, is signed by a Securis officer and provided to the client.

Compliant and Certified
You can rest assured knowing that when you hire Securis for your IT Asset disposition project, you are working with a company that meets or exceeds all data destruction compliance and certification standards such as NIST 800-88, DoD 5200.22-M data sanitization as well as standards such as HIPAA/HITECH, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, FACTA Disposal Rule, Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act of 2002, Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act, US Safe Harbor Provisions, FDA Security Regulations, PCI Data Security Standard, and all other various local, state, and federal regulations.
In addition, Securis is NAID and R2v3 certified and is committed to creating the most environmentally friendly process for disposing of your IT assets. Each project follows a specialized process and culminates in a certificate of data destruction.

Mobile Services FAQ's
What is on-site electronics & media shredding?
On-site shredding is a data destruction service where Securis brings mobile shredding equipment to your location to physically destroy HDDs, SSDs, tapes, optical media, and other electronic media as part of a secure IT asset disposition (ITAD) program.
Can our team witness data destruction on-site?
Yes. We offer witnessable, on-site drive shredding so stakeholders can observe the entire process for compliance and peace of mind.
Is your process aligned with NIST 800-88 and other industry standards?
Yes. We follow NIST 800-88 guidance for media sanitization outcomes and operate using processes certified by R2v3, ISO 9001/14001/45001, and NAID-AAA. Securis’ on-site and off-site service options also meet or exceed the methods outlined in National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Operating Manual 32 CFR Part 117 (replaced DOD 5220.22-M)
Do you use NSA-approved equipment?
When needed, we use degaussing and disintegration equipment listed on the the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List (EPL).
Can you shred SSDs and small form-factor media?
Yes. We use micro-shredding (disintegration) for SSDs and small media to achieve smaller particle sizes (e.g. <2mm) and higher assurance.
Which media and devices can you process on-site?
Typical items include hard drives (HDD/SSD), backup tapes (LTO/DLT), optical discs, USBs/flash cards, smartphones, tablets, and other data-bearing electronics removed from laptops, desktops, and servers.
How do you protect chain of custody during an on-site job?
We tag and inventory assets, manage controlled handoffs, and track materials from pickup to final destruction—maintaining a documented chain of custody throughout.
What documentation do we receive?
You’ll receive serialized inventory reporting and a Certificate of Data Destruction, available 24/7 in the client portal for audits and ESG reporting.
What site requirements should we prepare for the shredding truck?
We’ll confirm access, staging, and safety details in advance (e.g., loading dock or ground-level access, clear paths, staging area, and any site badges). Our mobile units are self-contained; no facility power is typically required.
Is the shredding process noisy or disruptive?
Mobile shredders generate industrial-level noise while operating. We plan positioning and timing with your team to minimize impact on business operations.
What’s the throughput for an on-site visit?
Throughput depends on media mix, security requirements, and site conditions. We’ll estimate run-rates during scoping and can schedule additional time or trucks for larger volumes.
Can we combine degaussing and shredding?
Yes. Many clients use defense-in-depth: degauss magnetic media (when policy requires), then shred/micro-shred as the final physical control.
Do you serve multi-site or nationwide projects?
Yes. Our mobile teams support nationwide on-site destruction and can coordinate multi-site schedules with centralized reporting.
How do we schedule and get pricing?
Share your media list/estimated counts, location(s), target dates, and security requirements. We’ll scope pricing based on quantity, logistics, and documentation needs. Request a quote today!
