The Norfolk, VA area hard drive shredding and e-waste recycling events are held bi-annually on the last Saturday of June and December from 10am to 2pm. Events for 2025 will be June 28th, and December 27th.

Electronics Recycling Norfolk VA – Items with Recycling Fees:

  • Computers with Hard Drives – $5
  • Hard Drives – $5
  • Cell Phones with Removable Battery – $5
  • Laptop with Hard Drive – $5
  • Cell Phones and Tablets with Internal Batteries – $10
  • Copiers– $35
  • CRT Monitor – $20
  • CRT TV Larger than 27″ – $35
  • CRT TV 27″ or Less – $28
  • Projection TV – $35
  • LCD Monitor – $10
  • LCD TV – $25
  • Printer More than 25 pounds – $15
  • Printer Less than 25 pounds – $5
  • Flash Drives and Thumb Drive Shredding – $1.00 each (shredded at a later date, stored in a securely locked tote until destruction)
  • CDs, Floppies, DVDs, Tapes Shredded and Recycled – $10 per file box
  • Ink/Toner Cartridges – $1.00 per lbs
  • Backup Batteries – $5

  • Ballasts
  • Glass (We will accept Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) and TVs)
  • Light bulbs (other than holiday lights)
  • Fire Detectors
  • Thermostats or other mercury-containing devices
  • Items that contain Freon
  • Any fossil fuel or materials used in collecting fossil fuels
  • Any infectious or biological wastes or equipment that contained them
  • Media contaminated with oil
  • Any liquid, chemicals, oils, or powders
  • Equipment that contains chemicals of any kind
  • Equipment that contains asbestos
  • Equipment that contains radioactive components
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Microwaves glass plates
  • PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls)
  • Aerosol
  • Equipment that contains mercury
  • Any materials that would adversely impact our operations or result in environmental or health problems
